needles: 2,5mm bamboo sock needles
abreviations
co – cast on
pm – place marker
m1 – increase 1
k – knit
p – purl
k2tog – knit 2 stitches together
bo – bind off
Cuff:
CO sock needles 52 stiches and divide them equally through 3 or 4 needles. I like to use 4.
Join and begin row 1
Row 1: p2, k2 till the end of the row, pm
Row 2: p2, k2 till the marker
(same for the next 14 rounds)
knit 26 rounds
thumb gore:
1.k26, pm, m1, k1, m1, pm, k 26
2.knit
3.k26, m1, k3, m1, k 26
4.knit
5.k26, m1, k5, m1, k26
6.knit
7.k26, m1, k6, m1, k26
8.knit
9.continue until you have 15 stitches between markers then k one whole round.
Slip the thumb stitches (15) to a holder or lifeline(*). CO 5 stitches over thumb gap
and continue for 3 rounds.
next round: over thumb gap, k2tog twice (to decrease 2 stitches)
knit for another 4 rounds
next round, for 9 rounds: p2, k2, p2, k2 all round

Thumb: place 15 stitches back on needles, and join for working in the round,
picking up 5 stitches over the gap.
Knit 3 rounds
p2, k2, p2, k2 all round for 5 rounds.

Weave in all ends and block
The second mitt is made exactly like the first. No left or right hand.
